Tell Me
Tell me what I want to hear,
Tell me that is not what I fear,
Tell me it’s just you and me,
Tell me I don’t see what I see.
Tell me life is easy,
Tell me I’m not crazy,
Tell me life is just a simple thing,
Tell me…
Tell me what I want to hear,
Tell me that is not what I fear,
Tell me it’s just you and me,
Tell me I don’t see what I see.
Tell me life is easy,
Tell me I’m not crazy,
Tell me life is just a simple thing,
Tell me…
Keeper of secrets,
Keeper of keys,
Keeper of what one doesn’t see;
Keeper of what lies behind
the eyes that lie so much to guide
the jaded lives of those that behold
the guilty truths of innocent lives,
and the simple reality that nothing is.
What would life be if we were all the same?
It would no longer be a childish game.
We wouldn’t be dancing with fairies, or playing with fire,
And our feelings for each other would never tire.
Narcissism would be the most common of stories,
And we would all share the same former glories.
Life would be futile and trouble-free,
But we all know that that will never be.
Life’s too short to drink cheap wine,
Life’s too short to take your time,
Life’s too short not to say you care,
Life’s too short not to share.
Life’s too short to look a mess,
Life’s too short to get stressed,
Life’s too short to cry and cry,
Life’s too short to ask why.
Life’s too short to sit and ponder,
Life’s too short to wait and wander,
Life’s too short to care so much,
Life’s too short to give a fuck!
“When Spring Arrivesâ€
Flowers bloom
As spring arrives
Everything beautiful
Comes alive
The grass turns green
Leafs start to grow
Flowers start to colour
Into so many rows
With spring comes a beginning
With new opportunities to arise
So put your best foot forward
And get ready for a surprise
